NetSupport School
NetSupport School Selected By Stephenville Independent School District

Stephenville ISD have joined the growing number of School Districts who have opted to use NetSupport School. Located in Texas, Stephenville’s Technology Department support 3500 students and 475 employees. They are also responsible for maintaining the availability of some 1100 computers for both day-to-day teaching and the administration of the district’s various campuses.

Network Administrator Luke Reagor explains why, after trialling a number of products, they decided that NetSupport was the best match for their needs;

"We looked at several products in the Classroom Management arena, each had features we really liked, but none met all our needs. That is when we came across NetSupport School. NetSupport gave us all the features we needed and then some.”

“We can see which user is at each workstation and what they are running... even if they have it hidden on their screen! We can have the teacher and a technician connected to the same workstation at the same time. We can see what students are typing, remotely run applications on a student's session as that student, enable/disable USB and CDROM drives, plus it works with our greatly expanding army of nComputing boxes."

"Currently, we are running NetSupport on 7 campuses consisting of approximately 1100 computers. We have every classroom workstation in the district running the student client so that lab teachers can see their labs, administrators can see their campuses and technicians can see the district. It is our goal to soon have all teachers able to manage their own classrooms."

"While NetSupport School has helped us save both time and money simply due to the reduced amount of trips our technicians make to campuses, its primary benefit has been the increased level of awareness our teachers have gained when it comes to student activity on the computers. With the presence of this new awareness, we immediately noticed a significant drop in the number of students who get off task during class. The features that have been most beneficial are the Current Application list and the Running Applications list. With these two lists, student cannot hide what they are doing anymore!"
